Tunisian Arabic Tutoring in Tunisia. Ariana International Language School

Instructions

  1. Steps for learning Tunisian Arabic

    • 1
Identify your basic level of Arabic knowledge. If you have a previous level of understanding of Modern Standard or Classical Arabic, you will be able to learn Tunisian Arabic much more quickly.
    • 2
Search the Internet for Tunisian Arabic resources. Look for websites that have Tunisian Arabic content, written or spoken, and compare what you find to other dialects of the language.
    • 3
Spend time listening to Tunisian Arabic. Many of the differences between Tunisian and Modern Standard Arabic are in the pronunciation. Even a word as simple as "la" ("no") tends to be pronounced as "lay" in Tunisian Arabic.
    • 4
Take a course in Tunisian Arabic. Most Arabic courses focus on Modern Standard Arabic, unless they indicate otherwise. There are, however, classes offered by universities and language schools that focus on the various Arabic dialects.
    • 5
